i really they eye design because it has a lot of pretty colors and its interesting to look at. i like Jacob Cass's art because it's really fun but it also has a  good message to it like the drinking awareness one and he has others for cautious eating. his designs include unusual things like the peacock feather eye but he incorporates them in a really nice way and it looks really cool. he's made a lot of for famous companies like ford too.

Emotion Words

for this assignment i used sunny, whimsical, bewildered and enraged. they don't have any connection i just liked the words and thought they would be fun to design art for. 

the assignment was to convey an emotion through lines and effects. sunny was the first one i did, i used a gradient in the background to look like a sunset and the sun is made of a swirly font repeating sunny in different colors and shapes. then i made the sun's rays out of the same font gradually getting smaller. sunny was the easiest and quickest design for me because it was easy to think of a design for  me to do. bewildered was the hardest because it took a lot of time because i changed it so many times but i am happy with the outcome!

these are my logo designs! they are for forever 21 and my initials TMP
the 4 in forever and the M in my name is made with negative space. the hardest part of the assignment was making the sketch before we started making them electronically because i am not very good at drawing!

This is my pattern design. it's my favorite design because it's really colorful and some of my favorite colors. The biggest elements and principles of design that i incorporated into it were color obviously, shape variety and a huge emphasis. 

The assignment was to make a color design for the last design in the design book and to use color and techniques to show depth and visual interest. I layered a bunch of different sized stars on top of each other and changed the color, brush type and opacity to make the focal point in the middle. the effect is it makes it look twisty and spiraling. For some strange reason i wanted to used letters in my design so i made a wave of multicolored 'E's  on the top and bottom making them symmetrical to make it my own.
